Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data makecvr.com collects and how it is used. The Service is operated by Le Quang Nhu, an individual based in Vietnam, who is the controller of the data described here. We collect as little as we can: there are no user accounts and we never store your raw IP address.

What we collect

• Listing data you submit — the URL or X handle, category, and the amounts paid. This is public by design: it is shown on the leaderboard.
• Payment data — handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your name, email, billing address, and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive the order ID, amount, and the listing details you entered at checkout. We never see or store your card details.
• Usage statistics — to show visitor counts and per-listing clicks, we store a one-way hash (SHA-256) of your IP address, the country derived from it, and the time of your visit or click. The raw IP address is never stored.
• Browser storage — a random session ID (for the "online now" counter) and your light/dark theme choice are kept in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

• To publish and rank listings you paid for (performance of our contract with you).
• To count visits and clicks and keep those numbers honest (legitimate interest).
• To handle refunds, support requests, and legal obligations.

Who we share it with

• Paddle.com — payments, invoicing, tax, and refunds.
• Our hosting and database providers, which store the data on our behalf.
• Vercel Web Analytics and Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless page-view analytics.
• Google — your browser loads listing favicons from Google's favicon service, which receives the listed domain name and your IP address.

We don't sell your data.

How long we keep it

Listings and payment records are kept while the listing is on the board and as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes. Random session IDs and hashed usage records are kept to compute site statistics; they can't be used to identify you directly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. To remove a listing or make a request, email [email protected]. For payment data, you can also contact Paddle directly.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
